Layla's Legacy

I’ll never forget the desperate voice at the other end of the phone that October evening in 2005.  “Good evening, Dog Tired - this is Kari,” I said.  “Kari, my name is Kirsten, my husband is deployed in Iraq, I have a large puppy we rescued from Animal Control, she is tearing up my house and I don’t know what to do, she makes me feel safe, but I can’t control her and go to work all day.” Kirsten began to cry.  I reassured her that everything would be okay and invited her and her dog Layla to come in for an evaluation. Little did I know that would be the beginning of a very long relationship both as a client and friend......to read the rest of the story click here

News from the Top DOG

I would like to thank everyone once again for making Dog Tired such a success.

Since the New Year, a few changes have occurred, some big and some small.

First of all I would like to send a huge “Happy tails to you” out to Erin, Robert & Dylan Myers. Erin and I began this business
together in the fall of 2005. At that time we did not know what Robert’s career had in store for them. He has been hired by Southwest Airlines and their family will be moving out of Alaska in 2006. The Campbell family has taken over as the sole owners of Dog Tired and we would like to wish Erin and her family many years of success in their new endeavors.

Dog Tired has had a few departures in the last few months. Buddy & Maggie Simonis moved with their family to Great Falls, MT. Champ O’Neil and family have relocated to Fairbanks, AK and Duke Potje and his dad Rick are back home in Bend, OR. We wish them all “Happy Tails” and many adventures in their new homes.

With the departure of my business partner, Dog Tired has hired new staff to help care for your K9 kids.

Please join me in welcoming our new team members:

Mandy Chesnutt, Tammy Dittlinger, Kelly Gall, Jessica Mulchay, Ruth Peterson, Tanya Viktora and Erika Wurm

Our team is dedicated to the safety and well-being of your dogs and welcome comments or suggestions anytime.

Thank you again for helping us make Dog Tired the finest doggie daycare in town.
